Sara-Rose Millar

I've been dabbling with music since my hands were big enough to hold a recorder and torture my parents with back to back renditions of three blind mice. Studying music (flute) formally from the age of 11 and gaining a music degree in 2004 (majors in music theatre and composition), I have also performed both solo and with a variety of bands, orchestras and choirs over the last 30 years. 

 

I've composed music scores for film and theatre productions as well as writing two original stage musicals. I play flute, piccolo, alto flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, Eb clarinet, saxophone (soprano, alto and tenor), tenor horn, euphonium, and enough keyboard and guitar to accompany myself singing

I've been writing songs for over a decade and released my debut album 'Echoes of Avalon' in 2022. I'm strongly influenced by Stevie Nicks / Fleetwood Mac but also have influences from other genres including jazz, musical theatre, country and medieval music.​
